Meet Our 2017-18 Officers!
President: Chih-Hsiang Kuo
I am a third year Ph. D. student and my research is focused on creep behavior of ferritic steels and ultrasonic additive manufacturing. I am from Taiwan where I received my BS and MS from National Tsing Hua University. Other than research, playing basketball and watching sports are the things I enjoy doing in my spare time. I get to know a lot of interesting people by participating in the events held by MRS. I hope we will have a fun year! Go Vols!
Vice President: Brianna Musicó
I am a second year Ph. D. student with my research focusing in ceramic processing, crystal growth and property characterization through Resonant Ultrasound Spectroscopy. I have lived in a few different states, but I'm a huge Volunteer Fan! I look forward to another great year of MRS involvement and events.
Secretary: Camera Foster
I am a third year Ph. D. student in MSE working at the Scintillation Materials Research Center. My research focuses on single crystal oxide scintillator growth for applications in medical imaging. This involves growth and characterization of novel scintillators as well as optimization of previously discovered materials. I am a born and raised Knoxville native and I love being a UT volunteer! My hobbies include singing, binge watching Netflix, and experimenting with new hairstyles. I look forward to representing the UTK-MRS chapter this year, Go Vols!
